Sebastian Trio

Sebastian trio was based in 1989 and is named after the greatest genius of baroque. Commencing this style the ensemble has in its repertory all the subsequent styles. In their concert programme dominates music originally written for this ensemble, but we can find there suitable transcriptions of for example piano trios with violin. Because all of the members have an exquisite solist dispositions, it is no exception to hear a brilliant pieces for solo flute, celllo or piano included in their concerts.

 

The highlights of their past seasons included performances in Czech Republic – festival Talich’s Beroun, festival Young podium in Carlsbad and appearance at the Czech mecca of chambre musicians – concert in the frame of the subscription cycle of the Czech Association for Chamber Music attached to Czech Philharmonic organised at the best concert hall of Prague – Dvořák Hall of Rudolfinum. They were giving concert also in Germany and Austria. In 1996 they have recorded their first CD with compositions of Martinů, Weber, Haydn and Telemann.
